Daily Routine
7 a.m. – approx. 8.30 a.m. Morning Shift
A pleasant and slow start to the day. We pay attention to the individual needs of children and parents and give them time. We offer projects and prepare for the start of the day together.
Shared breakfast preparation (cutting fruit), tidying up together, and getting ready for the morning circle.
8.30 a.m. – 10.00 a.m. Focused Play Phase
We offer games and creative activities for small groups and individual interests, providing space for free play. This time also includes physical activity, garden excursions, and celebration of special occasions.
9.30 a.m. - 10.00 a.m. Breakfast Together
Before we set the table, we go to the toilet and the younger children are being changed.
For us, eating is something enjoyable and sensual, for which we want to take our time. We sit with the children and have breakfast in the community. We set an example of courtesy and table manners towards the next, and help is encouraged.
10.30 a.m. – 11.00 a.m. Morning Circle
We sit together in a circle and sing a greeting song.
Children explore and deepen current topics, practicing finger games, poems, and circle games.
11.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.Outdoor Activities and Movement
Exploring nature and enjoying fresh air together. Every day, in any weather, we aim to take the children to the garden, the forest, or nearby meadows. We view our outdoor spaces and nature as informal places for learning.
12.30 p.m. - 13.00 p.m. Lunch
Just like at breakfast, the children can take food themselves. That way they learn to listen to their gut feelings and gain self-competence. It is better to take a little less at the beginning and again later instead of having to through away the leftovers (appreciation for food). We sit together with the children at the table and give help when needed. The younger children learn from the example of the older ones and are instructed to learn how to use spoon and fork.
1 p.m. Pick-up Time for Half-day Children
1 p.m. - 2.30 p.m. Quiet Time
The group is divided in the resting phase. The younger children, who need to go to sleep, are resting with a teacher. For this purpose, our cozy extra room is prepared and darkened and the children are told a story.
The volume is muffled in the group room, there is relaxation music that runs quietly in the background. The children can look at books or paint in the cozy corner. We take the time to play table games with the children.
2.45 p.m. - 3 p.m. Snack
We make sure that our food offer is varied and healthy. We also sit with the children at the snack, we know how important our role model is and how strong it connects the community.
3 p.m. - 4 p.m. - Concentrated Game Phase
Free play, continuing to work on projects, preparations for the party, activities in the garden
3.45 p.m. - 4 p.m. Pick-up Time
We want to end it just as comfortably as our day began. Together we prepare the group for the day ahead.
