Our Team

Petra Leder

Founder, director, and Montessori teacher for kindergarten and school

After I finished my studies of elementary education in Vienna in 1998, I was given the opportunity to work with a team of educational experts at the "Anna Freud" Kindergarten. The focus of my work was to get to know innovative educational concepts and to put them into practice. The three pillars of practice, research and teaching were the focus of my pedagogical work at the time. I gained many different and valuable experiences at home and abroad in kindergartens, schools and in adult education.
It is the playful liveliness and the bubbling creativity of the children that I enjoy every day. I am always amazed by their openness, their empathy and the seemingly endless variety of their learning and expression. Working with children is like a gift for me and KUBUKI more than a job.
With the construction of the kindergarten and school, I would like to create a place where parents, children and educators can meet and exchange ideas.
A place where dreams come true, where we can inspire each other and create new things through creativity. Where it is possible to grow and learn from mistakes and develop further.

For me, KUBUKI is a team of people who pursue the same goal - to accompany children on their way to independence and personal responsibility. Teamwork is one of the cornerstones of KUBUKI and my wish is to support other team members and families with my helpfulness and willingness to face new challenges.
After graduating from high school I went to college to study commercial law. After a few years in my job, I became a mother of three children who I wanted to accompany individually in their education, so I decided to teach my children from home until the first grade. This experience has confirmed to me that an individual approach is the key to a healthy relationship with people of all ages.
In addition to studying to become a teaching assistant, I also completed a Montessori course in Linz, AU for kindergarten and in Brno, CZ for school.
I would like to share my enthusiasm for books and exploring nature with the kids. I am happy to support the school children with their first school experiences and to show them that learning can always be fun.

My journey of a pedagogic hero started some years ago when I was thinking about what to do after my maternity stay. Working with children was always something that I really enjoyed and made me happy so I decided to open my own business. I named my position „mobile teacher of English“. This position meant cooperating with close-by kindergartens and teaching the smallest ones English during their morning routine tasks. I became known and one day a director of ZŠ and MŠ Velhratice called me and asked if I would like to work as a teacher at a primary school in Velhartice. From this point my journey of a pedagogic hero really started. While working at school, I finished my studies at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen together with didactic education for the English language and managed to pass the Cambridge exam, level C1 in English. I stayed at ZŠ and MŠ Velhartice for long 12 years and after such a time I needed a change and KUBUKI was the best choice I could make. Except for still working and improving myself in the field of didactic, I am also interested in psychology and yoga. And in future, I would like to become a yoga instructor too. Children are for me a great inspiration in their spontaneity and sensitivity and sometimes I have the feeling they teach me more than I teach them.
